STRIPES Cohort 3 Graduates
STRIPES’ 3rd cohort of best & brightest leaders graduated on June 8th, 2023, joining STRIPES’ past 2 cohorts of certified leaders. The ceremony was held over Zoom and included STRIPES graduates, managers, industry leaders, mentors, and STRIPES leadership team to celebrate and acknowledge the graduates’ hard work and completion of their 10-month, transformative STRIPES journey. The 2-hour graduation also featured a keynote delivered by Marc Paulhus, Financial Services & Non-Profit Board Member and STRIPES mentor.
The bulk of STRIPES’ certification ceremony allowed participants to share their personal takeaways and accomplishments since they began STRIPES in September 2022, as well as examples of their transformation as leaders as a direct result of the Program. A number of the participants’ managers and mentors also shared, from their perspective, the tangible differences they observed as a result of the participants’ dedication to STRIPES.
“[My STRIPES project] led me down a lot more paths that really changed my whole outlook, and sandwiched all these different areas where I could be having more of an impact in different parts of the company and finding more people to connect with,” said Erin Wohler, Tax Director at LEAF Commercial Capital, Inc. and STRIPES Cohort 3 Graduate. “I feel like I’ve seen a huge change in the results of my work product just by growing [the relationship-building] aspect of myself.”
“Connie [Poormon, Cohort 3 Graduate] has done an amazing job taking on a new role in the company, managing a new team; she’s done great things,” said Ana Lage, VP Operations/Process Improvement at Eastern Funding LLC, Connie’s manager and STRIPES Cohort 2 Graduate. “There have been amazing changes and improvements within those teams, not just because of Connie’s growth in the last 10 months, but because she’s completed STRIPES Leadership Program and has taken the time to work on herself. Her teams benefit from her working on herself.”
